This notice explains what we do with personal information you give us through this website. In short: we use it to answer your enquiry, and nothing else.

Who we are

Spider Cranes Southern Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at hire@spidercranesouthern.co.uk or on 0330 190 0290.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we receive the details you type into the form:

• your name, company, email address and phone number;
• the site location, preferred date and details of the lift;
• anything else you choose to include in your message.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, quote for the work and, if you book, to deliver the job. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the contact form.
• Resend delivers the enquiry to our inbox and sends your confirmation email.

These providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t become a job are deleted after 24 months. If you book with us, we keep job records for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, at any time by emailing hire@spidercranesouthern.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
